Olivia and I have good news to share. We teamed up with HedzUPpets to “Save dogs from drowning.” This one-of-kind company developed a unique flotation device called the Watercollar. It works with your dog’s own collar to keep your furry kid’s head above water, at all times.

Here’s how it works
The Watercollar links directly onto your dog’s standard clip-in-place collar. Then the entire device is placed around your dog’s neck. The shape of the round Watercollar puts your pup in a vertical position, so the head, nose and ears are completely above the waterline.
Traditional life jackets fit around your dog’s torso, placing your pet in a horizontal position. This could potentially allow the head to go underwater if your dog gets tired or has a medical emergency.
Setting up the Watercollar
- Open your dog’s collar and lace it through the black straps on the Watercollar, then slip it over your pet’s head.
- Don’t make the collar bigger, leave it at your dog’s regular size.
- Then snap the collar shut, just like you would normally.
- When you’re done swimming, remove your pup’s collar from the Watercollar and place it back on your dog’s neck.

Find The Right Dog Wheelchair For Your Pet
Your dog has a mobility problem, and you want to buy a wheelchair. But do you know what kind of cart will work best for your dog’s individual needs? After a decade of teaching pet owners how to make the right choice, I put the information into an eBook!
Facts about the Watercollar
Watercollars come in 11 sizes that fit a wide variety of dog breeds. You can even get them with a handle that attaches to a dog harness. In addition, the device is extremely lightweight so your dog can wear it comfortably all day.
Watercollars have been endorsed by canine physical therapists and veterinarians. They’re a great option for senior pups and dogs with mobility problems; including osteoarthritis, amputations and paralysis.
The Watercollar is also a wonderful way to build confidence in a dog who’s afraid to go in the swimming pool. Because it keeps their head, ears and nose above the water, it helps a fearful dog learn to feel safe and have fun.
The founders
HedzUPpets was founded nineteen years ago by Lynne Peters and her husband David. When the couple moved to their home in Texas, they realized their dog, Katie, was terrified of the swimming pool. Lynne tried her best to coax Katie to swim, but the dog repeatedly panicked and squeezed her body against a high wall in the pool. She couldn’t climb out of the pool on her own and ultimately, she became so exhausted her head would sink under the water.
To help her pet, Lynne designed a floating collar for Katie. It was the best design to stop her dog’s head from sinking underwater.
Today HedzUPpets is a proud woman owned company, made up of 20 female partners.
